Just some video of Corpus Christi at 2:00 am today during 40 hours devotion to Holy Eucharist…the church is again open through the night tonight for prayer and devotion contuniuing the solemnity of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Various parishioners are at the church during the entire devotion…I will be there again from 2 am to 4 am tomorrow morning.

Thanks for encouraging me with the word “cool”. It WAS cool. You know, many of us think of Buddhist meditation or yoga as cool and Catholic adoration as corny.
All I can say is, try it. The church was so quiet yesterday. It’s so rare for us to have this time, even in church-no sounds, no sunlight, no music, just you and Christ in the space.
Slow down and spend an hour. You could be in a bar, you could be at home sleeping or checking your email or watching late-night comedy, or you can spend just one hour in beautiful Corpus Christi. What a treasure that costs you nothing.

I was able to attend Friday night at the beginning, then the last hour + Mass and Procession today. It was truly, awesome!
