Video: Corpus Christi Procession – Buffalo, NY – 05/25/08

Corpus Christi Sunday was wonderful…

Mass was beautiful…the procession was amazing…over 400 people processed from Corpus Christi to Saint Stan’s…the event continues to grow…it is truly a religious experience and celebration of faith.

I have told others this in the past and now I am going to tell you…going to church and belonging to a parish in B-F just seems right to me…I had belonged to other parishes in and around Buffalo over the years, but nothing was ever quite like the churches of my childhood and neighborhood I grew up in…it is not only about the buildings themselves…there is a certain comfort which is hard to explain…the other parishes never seemed quite right…it may seem silly…Catholics are everywhere…Catholic Churches are all around WNY, but church culture is different from place to place…I always feel like I am at home in B-F’s churches.

The above video was simply done with a small digital camera…I didn’t feel like lugging around anything bigger during the procession…I am pleased with the results though…enjoy.

  1. Great Video! The Procession was absolutely beautiful! It’s a deeply spiritual event. I was so glad I could attend. It was wonderful to see so many people taking part. Very nice!

  2. Can I get the original (full, unedited) video withoriginal sound from you? It would be a wonderful tool here in the parish.

    So many thanks,
    Stan

  3. I’d be interested in getting that too, if it were possible.

I was privileged to serve as the thurifer, and now I’m on Youtube!

  4. I know you guys are asking for the raw tape, but in the meantime, you can save the video posted on YouTube using a nifty little program called “TubeSock”. Just goodsearch that term to find it.
