Kaleida and Jericho Road Partner to Move Pediatric Primary Care Center to 1021 Broadway

In partnership with Kaleida Health, Jericho Road Community Health Center will be home to a pediatric primary care center. The variety of services coming out of 1021 Broadway continues to grow. This is excellent news for the neighborhood and the East Side.

From Kaleida:

The Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation was awarded $1 million to relocate the Towne Gardens Pediatric Primary Care Center to a new facility at 1021 Broadway in Buffalo, NY in partnership with Jericho Road Community Health Center and community based nonprofits.

This new facility will increase access and utilization of comprehensive pediatric primary care, early childhood developmental screenings, behavioral health screenings and services and the pediatric specialty care available at Oishei Children’s Hospital for the underserved population on Buffalo’s east side. The project enables the two principal Medicaid pediatric primary care providers in the east side of Buffalo, to work together and focus on social determinants of health, consolidating services in a common location and developing pathways to care, which is critical to the health outcomes of all children.

The grant will allow for this collaboration, building and move to accelerate. Without it, this project could take years to progress, leaving children and families on Buffalo’s east side struggling for quality pediatric healthcare.

Funding for the project comes from a grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, which this week announced $150 million in grants.
