There is no better place in Western New York where Buffalo’s first Polish food truck will officially launch than East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia. When and where you ask? It will happen on Friday, March 7th at the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle (AMLDC) located at 612 Fillmore starting at 7pm with a roll out party.
If you haven’t heard, Betty Crockski announced its arrival on the food truck scene a few weeks ago. Since then, there has been a huge buzz all around Buffalo’s Polonia about their entrance and addition to the local Polish culinary offerings in Western New York. The truck is owned by Kate Hey and Dana Szczepaniak.
“We’re doing riffs on very traditional Polish flavor combinations,” Szczepaniak said. “We’ll have a kielbasa that’s our house recipe and a core menu of pierogi that are kind of traditional pierogi reinvented.”
This is going to be great event and a celebration of Polish food. Couple that with the AMLDC’s large selection of Polish, European and craft beers and it is like I wrote to start off…there is no better place in Western New York where Buffalo’s first Polish food truck will officially launch than East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia.
