Central Terminal Restoration Corporation Appoints Executive Director

Central Terminal Restoration Corporation (CTRC) Board Chairman and President Mark Lewandowski announced this week that Marilyn Rodgers has been appointed Executive Director effective September 1st. Rodgers will become the first Executive Director to lead the ongoing efforts to redevelop the landmark Buffalo Central Terminal. Funding for the position has been provided though a one-year grant from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation.

“Marilyn possesses great enthusiasm for the Central Terminal along with strong leadership skills in not-for-profit management,” said Lewandowski. “Her experience in community and property development will be a tremendous asset to the CTRC and the continuation of our redevelopment efforts.”

Rodgers comes to the CTRC with an extensive background in fundraising, marketing, and nonprofit leadership. She has provided volunteer and professional assistance to organizations including the WNY Veterans Housing Coalition, Goodwill Industries of WNY, Field and Fork Network, and the Johnson Park Restoration Project. Rodgers recently served as project and general manager for Barons of Buffalo, LLC, increasing occupancy rates and marketability of a portfolio of properties. She previously served as Program Coordinator for the City of Buffalo Housing Court Reform Project, interim General Manager of Marine Drive Apartments and Director of Quality Assurance and Public Relations for Pop Radio Corporation/Actmedia. Rodgers developed and implemented the first in-house TeleResource Department for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra which led to her position as Director of Special Events. She is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP) and is a certified HUD grant writer.
