Pie·ro·gi (noun, plural) (singular pierog)
A semicircular dumpling with any of various fillings, such as finely chopped meat or vegetables, that is often sautéed after being boiled.
I don’t claim to be an expert on pierogi but I do know what I think tastes good. This past Saturday, I had the distinct honor and privilege to participate as a judge in the Fifth Annual Buffalo’s Best Pierogi Contest at Corpus Christi Church in Buffalo’s Broadway neighborhood.
