While at the presentation yesterday, I spoke with Market Executive Director Tom Kerr…he asked me if I saw the new vendor stalls yet? I hadn’t. You could tell he was excited because it is progress.
I didn’t have the time to hang around after the presentation, but I zipped over to the Market after a meeting at Corpus Christi today and took the above pics.
Tell you what…I was excited too. It may seem like something small, but what I like to say is that it is usually a combination of small things that lead to big changes…we are starting to see the beginnings of that at the Market.
Alive!
Things are looking up at the Market; there’s a degree of real professionalism in the management that’s been missing for quite a while.
Is every vendor going to have a concrete cubicle like this ?
That area in the market was a dead zone. I will like to see when the stalls are completed. One benefit it would seem is that if a merchant pulls out of one of stalls, it wouldn’t be a dead area and look as empty as it did. It is not too different than what you see in the back with the vendors. It adds a sense of conformity.
We are going to be one of the new vendors in those stalls, and couldn’t be happier.
