While waiting to meet with some folks at the Market, I took a good look at this marker by the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society…it indicates that the Broadway Market was founded in 1879…from everything else I have read about the Market on their website or other references, the year 1888 is commonly used.
So…which is it…1879 or 1888? Does anyone know why there whould be a difference? Please share…
