This coming Sunday, February 3, is not only the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time but also the feast of St. Blaise, an early church Bishop and Martyr.
St. Ann’s will have the customary blessing of throats after 10 am Sunday Mass. All are invited to take part in this ancient ritual, asking God through St. Blaise’s intercession for health during this year.
The candles used will be those that were newly-blessed on Saturday the 2nd, feast of the Presentation or Candlemas.
