Lent is just around the corner. For thousands of Western New Yorkers, that means a steady diet of fish frys and mac ‘n cheese for the next six weeks. Want a little more variety? Then look no further than the Broadway Market! On Saturday, February 24th at 11:00A.M. the Market will offer the newest cooking demonstration and tasting in its “Savor the Flavor” series. Since Lent is a time of meatless meals, this special event will feature a fish dish, plus menu ideas using heritage grains such as spelt and kasha.
The event is going to feature Mary Kunz Goldman and Jane Kwiatkowski from the Buffalo News…two Broadway-Fillmore friends..
