Marty Biniasz has put together a website for his “Polish Home Museum & Ethnic Center” effort…

The story of the thousands of Poles who immigrated to Buffalo from the 1870s to the 1920s is not just important to Polonia but to the social, economic and historic fabric of Western New York. The Polish Home Museum and Ethnic Center would assit in teaching future generation about the environment that fostered a thousand American success stories. The center would be located in historic Polonia and housed in a restored Bork cottage.
This is a very cool effort to help preserve a part of Polonia’s history…we often post things here on BFA about preserving buildings, but preservation is more than just buildings. It is also about preserving the history of the people who made Polonia what it is.
