Student art hangs in old Central Terminal

(Buffalo News – By BRIAN HAYDEN, Next Correspondent) – Students from 26 schools around Western New York will have their art displayed this weekend at the Student Celebration of the Visual Arts show at Buffalo’s Central Terminal, located at Paderewski and Memorial drives.

Last year’s show drew more than 4,000 people and 1,500 works from 500 high school and college students to the historic 76-year-old train station.

“The amount of people all packed into the Central Terminal last year made the show very exciting,” said Chris Cook, a teacher at North Tonawanda High School and one of the organizers of this year’s show. “The terminal really brings a connection between kids and their grandparents. When grandparents came to the show last year, they were able to tell their grandchildren about their experiences in the Central Terminal years ago.”
