About Saint John Kanty Church: Historic Saint John Kanty Church opened for worship in 1892 and is located on Broadway between Brownell and Swinburne Streets. It is handicap accessible with off street parking. Several features inside the church of particular interest include the life size wooden carving of The Last Supper which survived a three alarm fire in the mid-1950’s; four stained glass windows located in the Sanctuary created by local stained glass artist Jozef Mazur; a large marble carving of the crucified Christ as the focal point of the Sanctuary, and the Rose window, original to the church and made by Buffalo Stained Glass Works, that portrays Saint John Kanty at its center.
