The wonderful people at Saint John Kanty are at it again with their lenten pierogi sale. Each year the parishioners of Saint John Kanty Church get together before lent and make pierogi to sell to the community and parish as a fundraiser for the church…last year they made close to 10000. That’s a lot of pierogi.
It starts on Saturday, February 21st (3-5 p.m.) and Sunday, February 22nd (9:30-12 noon) — then every Saturday and Sunday through Palm Sunday, March 29th. They have cheese and sauerkraut pierogi available in the school cafeteria. They are awesome!
Cost is $8 per package of 6 large/frozen pierogi.
You can pick up some of their homemade placek and also participate in their Chinese auction, raffles and more.

Here is a video from a few years ago shot at parish of people making pierogi:
I had been a member of SJK many years ago. I went to school there in the old building next to the Church. My oldest son was baptized there. I am so happy that I found this link to the Church community. Is there any way to order the placek and periogi? I now live in Texas. I would gladly pay for the shipping. Please let me know and thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Barbara Posluszny Brundrett-Pace
