Video: Saint John Kanty – From Advent to Epiphany 2013

From Saint John Kanty’s website:

We at St. John Kanty Church were so fortunate this year to have had many celebrations in addition to the usual beautiful events of the season. From Advent to Epiphany 2013 saw a number of different happenings at our church: the celebration of our patron: St. John of Kant, whose feast day is December 23 and the introduction of a print depicting St. John performing the miracle of restoring a broken vessel; the first baptism using our recently refurbished baptismal font; and the introduction of two remastered recordings which were recorded at St. John Kanty, part of which is included here. You are hearing the St. John Kanty Choir singing part of ‘Pasterka’, the midnight Mass. At that time, in 1940something, the choir numbered 70 and was conducted by Jan Lezon, a very talented and dedicated composer and musician. We at St. John Kanty are very proud of our church, which dates back to 1892 and survived a devastating fire in the mid-50′s.
