Grandma’s BBQ Hamburger Recipe

As promised about a month and a half ago, here is my grandmother’s BBQ hamburger recipe.
What I said in January…
When I saw the pic above of the Polish-American style BBQ hamburger, it made me think of my Babcia/Busha and how that burger was served up on many family events in B-F over the years. As the writer of the blog points out, it is not BBQ’d at all…but hey, we are Polish and we come up with our own stuff and names for things.
I have made similar BBQ hamburgers over the years, but never could get it quite the way my Babcia/Busha did…the only person to come close is my mother…I may just whip up a batch soon. A few years ago, my mother put together a family recipe book for me and my brothers.
Equally important to my Polish heritage is my Polish American heritage…the things my ancestors did while building their lives in America as immigrants…it is an important story.

[...] You may remember that last year I posted my Babcia’s Polish BBQ Hamburger recipe. [...]
I am looking for a recipe for Shepard’s Pie. My bobcia got the recipe from the National Fuel office on Fillmore near Broadway, probably in the early 60′s. Possibly someone has that recipe?
A Mirella are you referring to breaded pork chops?
