Buffalo’s Dyngus Day Parade is on and here’s how to get an application

The organizers of Dyngus Day Buffalo have decided to move forward with plans to put on the parade. The event was cancelled 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

From Eddy Dobosiewicz, president / coordinator of Dyngus Day Buffalo, via the Am-Pol Eagle, “If we do something outside, while incorporating safety measures, it won’t present any drastic danger. The event is a month away. We’re limiting the amount of participants, and re-configuring the parade route in a manner that is different than in years’ past, where it previously was congested with people close together. There’s no staging on the small side streets. It’s a wider (path), and we have to maintain distance between (individuals)”

The parade will begin at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 5th, 2021. The parade route has changed and will now run on Broadway from Memorial Dr. up to Fillmore Ave. Spectators will be limited to 200 people per block on the parade route, which counts 15 blocks on Broadway from Memorial Drive to Fillmore Avenue.
