Alive Photo: Bicentennial Parade in East Buffalo’s Polonia Neighborhood in 1976

The United States Bicentennial was celebrated on July 4th, 1976. There were a lot of celebrations across Buffalo. In the city’s Polonia neighborhood, there was a a huge parade. The parade even made its way down Ashley St. and went right by my childhood home. My father took this photo. The gray build to left in the photo was demolished some time ago. It’s now a field. The light green building still remains.
