From Torn Space Theater’s website:

Let’s face it, in the aftermath of the Arab Spring and the ongoing Occupy Wall Street movement, it gets harder everyday to tell the law breakers apart from justice loving citizens who are mad as hell and, well, you know the rest. Just in time for this dilemma, the Real Dream Cabaret debuts the Outlaw Show. The show features a familiar line up of infamous mobsters, molls, comic book supervillains, hippies, and scofflaws from across history. Thrown together after death into an inter-dimensional holding zone, the Limbo Lounge, the outlaws are forced to perform in an interminable talent show. Of course, being outlaws, they eventually put up a fight, and when their antics create a rift between Limbo and modern day reality, they break out and pick up where they left off, reinventing themselves for a new era.

Audiences can expect appearances from all manner of ne’er do wells, ranging from folk heroes like Robin Hood and Joan of Arc, to crooks from Buffalo’s past, to modern miscreants like Timothy Leary and Patty Hearst. Lizzie Borden gets another chance to share her tale, while Bonnie and Clyde try to find new ways to work out their relationship issues. And making an effort to represent the voice of reason, British censorship maven Mary Whitehouse will show us what not to look at in a series of “video nasties.”

Billed as “not for audiences under 18,” the Cabaret likens the show to children’s theater for adults, so be prepared to hide your eyes during the X-rated parts. But rather than glorifying criminality, the Outlaw Show instead poses a question that will never really be answered: where do we draw the line between “inside” and “outside” the law?
