I was driving down Fillmore in the the evening yesterday and stopped at A Street…not “A” street but A Street.
If I am correct, A, B and C Streets are the only in Buffalo whose names are simply letters.
Though a little bit outside of Broadway-Fillmore, I find it interesting that amidst all these very ethnic and wonderful street names we have throughout B-F and the East Side, there are three that have letters.
Anyone know why these were named in this manner? I will try to find out myself.
