  1. Stan,

I have read you insults many times here on this website towards Saint Stanislaus.

My question is if you are holier than thou and know what is best for our Polonia and our churches why don’t you move back to Buffalo and help.

It is easy to run away and throw insults at us here.

Why mock Bishop Grosz? Why mock us at Saint Stanislaus? We are helping the neighborhood.

Churches like Saint Adalbert’s could sure use your help, but you chose to move away.

“let he who is without sin, cast the first stone”

  2. Not until Bp. Grosz puts the altar and sanctuary back the way it was when Msgr. Gabalski was there. Horrid – why would you want to that magnificent church to look like St. Gregory’s?

  3. Dear Anonymous St. Stan’s Parishioner:

    I asked a question.

For you to choose to discern that as an insult baffles imagination. Have you an answer to the query?

By the way, I do help Polonia, my friend. I help in many regards.

What insults have you read that I have posted here? I’d sure like to know the basis of your accusations.

    God bless.

  4. Gosh folks…if you have personal things against someone, why don’t you email them and work it out there.

    I don’t like interfering with comments…but I will if it gets u g of l y…

  5. Chris,

I understand that people facing difficulty are often a bit angry and lash out.

What I don’t particularly understand is how asking a question about the progress of new homes in BF area is a catalyst for insult or provocation.

Chris, do youhave any clue if there is any significant progress regarding the homes surrounding St. Stans, their sales or their pending sales?

By the way – just for everyone’s befeit…. while I moved away nearly 30 years ago, I have supported Polonia and expeciallt eh Catholic churches in Polonia in any way possible. Those who work at Corpus Christi know my support there…. as do others. (I cite Corpus Christi because a few of the things I have helped with there are public and one is even a fixture in the church!)

At any rate, I an a huge supporter of BF and revitalizing the area. I have repeatedly mentioned on this wonderful site alone, that if I can do anything, even from a distance, do not hesitate to ask.

  6. Dear “A City Reesident,”

As mentioned, I support very well.

What do you mean “put your money where your mouth is?” Where exactly is my mouth except asking a legitimate question: how many houses have been sold or are pending in the St. Stanislaid redevelopment area?

What on earth is so wrong or bad about asking that question which no one seems to want to answer?

  7. Stan, I’m not referring to your question about St. Stanislaus. I’m referring to your MANY assumptions, comments, and questions about BF published on this site.

I didn’t ask you if you supported BF (I won’t ask you what you meant by very well, I’ll still observe some etiquette). I asked when you were going to move back.

Now, how about you answer the question which was asked?!

Since you say so much about loving Buffalo especially this neighborhood, WHEN are YOU going to move back?!

Msgr. Stachewicz, a man and priest you admired so much as to make and post a video of your euology on Youtube, did not move down south like so many others, he stayed where he was needed…

  8. To clarify:

I did not post any video on YouTube, nor did I know any video was shot at the funeral. It was posted by someone who attended the Mass and shot by them without my knowledge. So goes your theory of me posting a video of myself.

Your question to me is ill founded. I don’t intend to move back. But your question is a double-edged sword – one could easily say that if people love Polish culture so much and desire it so much in their parishes, etc., then why not move to Poland? Your question, while I was delighted to answer it, is not logical. One can support and love a place and/or people without living among them. Do we not support those in missionary lands with our energies, our talents and our money? If so, can we say we are supporting them and their work and mission WITHOUT moving to those missionary lands? Reconsider your original premise.

My dear friend, Msgr. Stachewicz, was bound to the Diocese of Buffalo by incardination that came with ordination to the Sacred Priesthood. His vocation was rooted in Buffalo and he was incardinated into the Church of Buffalo.

Where are my “many assumptions, comments and questions?” As I understand it, this is a valid forum to ask questions and garner information regarding the BF area.

Asking a question these days, it seems, is seen as an attack of some sort. I regret that you feel that way.

Now, since I answered your questions, can you tell me if any houses have been sold, built, are under construction, etc? It was a docile question. I regret that it caused such unrest.
