The leader of the Catholic Church Pope Benedict XVI has arrived in Washington, D.C. President Bush made an unprecedented trip to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to welcome the pontiff along with the First Lady.This is the beginning of a six-day visit to the United States by the Pope on his first to our country. He will visit the White House, Catholic University of America, and hold a public mass in Washington D.C. There is also a second public mass planned in New York City at the end of his trip.Though not directly related with B-F, it is an exciting time for Catholics in the United States. 🙂
