I was on Squaw Island today for a Re-Tree WNY event…on my way there I had to stop and take a couple pictures of the railroad bridge which crosses over Niagara Street from the island…why…well…look at how this bridge is painted…it lets people know where there are and what they are entering…I have always thought that the railroad bridge at Broadway and Memorial should tell people something in an artistic manner…”Welcome to Buffalo’s Historic Polonia” comes to mind..but it could be anything.
If you are interested in seeing something like this happen, drop me an email at info@broadwayfillmorealive.org.
I don’t see why it can’t be easily done…others have talked about this in the past, let’s get it done…Broadway is one of the most traveled roads in Buffalo…having something done to let people know what they are passing through would be very cool…

I have always envisioned this.. And do you know what the perfect design would be? The Buffalo stamped pierogi!
