Sometimes I see things on the internet and I just…well…stare at my computer screen and wonder with a tear in my eye how things happened here in B-F they way they have…how could places like Trans and a laundry list of other places be left to rot before our very eyes…it just isn’t right.

  1. Chris I can understand your feelings because I feel the same way. I wrote to the Buffalo News and one of the reporters gave me a sad story about the Broadway-Fillmore area. I asked why they let K-Mart close, and can they open it, or place another store at that site. I asked about the old sattlers building and the way this area use to be uptown. He made it sound as if this neck of the woods will always be abandoned. The way he put it, it has a lot to do with investment’s, and most of the big investor’s rather do buisness outside of city.

  2. I graduated from St. Adalbert’s grammar school in 1975 and “Trans” was always a local rival to us. The Adalbert’s students had this high esteem of themselves (I did) and often thought the kids that went to “Trans” were second-rate!! How simple life seemed back then….
