That means “welcome to a celebration of the first days of Autumn” in traditional Munich style: authentic German music by the Frankfurters, food, dancing and lots of German beer (Spaten, Flying Bison’s exclusive Oktoberfest brew)!

This will be our third Oktoberfest at the terminal. Each one has been a little bigger and a little better and this year will be no exception, I’m sure.

It was inspired by a trip I took to Munich’s Oktoberfest in 2004. Those giant beer tents reminded me of our vast concourse. The rest is Central Terminal event history. Over 3,000 people to date have enjoyed our Oktoberfests. This is my favorite party of the season!

So, come on out and party! For you bloggers out there, your fellow Buffalo bloggers will also be holding “Blogtoberfest”, the next in the series of Bloggercon get-togethers. The party begins at 6pm, $10 admission (with free drink) and lasts until 11pm. I hope to see everyone there!

Ein Prosit!

Great site, but why not add a message board so Broadway-Fillmore folks from around the country (and world) can talk and reminisce.
