The CTRC had its annual Christmas party for our volunteers at Mickey’s last night. We had a nice crowd of about 50 or so, with delicious food prepared by Ike’s Barbecue. It was nice to see the lovely ladies from the Buffalo Federation of Women’s Clubs (the ladies who work so hard maintaining the flowers in the Memorial Circle), Sandy Starks from Buffalo Tours, Brian Mahoney from Slow Food Buffalo, Tim Herzog from Flying Bison and Bob and Pam Lipinoga from Duch Builders there! Bob was telling me how much great feedback he’s gotten from the article we did and from the Dyngus Day Party.

I was talking to Yuri before dinner and he advises that he has had a great late planting season due to the mild weather, and that all trees and daffodil bulbs should be completely planted shortly. There are hundreds of new trees being planted not only at the terminal, but all over the terminal triangle to Fillmore. Plus, he is going to plant daffodils all along both sides of Paderewski, from the terminal to Fillmore.

I can hardly wait for Spring! Broadway Fillmore will be ALIVE with color!
