Broadway-Fillmore will be alive tomorrow with the Buffalo Polka Carolers!

Events like these illustrate why Buffalo is the COOLEST CITY ON THE PLANET!!!

The singing of Polish Christmas music called “koledy” is a deeply rooted tradition among Western New York’s Polish American community. The Buffalo Polka Carolers are proud to continue a tradition started over 30 years ago among polka musicians in cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit.

It all starts at 1:30 PM at Arty’s Tavern located at 508 Peckham St @ Memorial Drive. Other B-F and Polonia landmarks will include the Market Bar, Dick’s Eastside Inn, 222 Gibson and the Adam Mickiewicz Library on Fillmore Ave.

Polka Hall of Famer Jerry Darlak and polka musicians from across Buffalo will be leading the way with traditional carols and holiday polka tunes.

The carolers will be accepting donations to benefit the Response to Love Center…you have to love that…

The group will end up at Ulrich’s Tavern at 674 Ellicott Street at 2:30 PM and continue on through downtown and Cheektowaga. For more information and for an update of the group’s location, call (716) 316-6415 .

B-F friend Marty Biniasz is the brains behind this event…what a cool idea it is!

Come on down!!!

I will be stopping at Arty’s to check it out…
