I love walking over to the store, picking up the Buffalo News and finding GOOD NEWS!
This was the case today…
From the News:
The school – which is still unnamed – would open in September at the former Lincoln Academy School 44, 1369 Broadway, with 500 students in grades 7 to 12.
In January 2007, the school would move to the former Kmart at 998 Broadway, a 90,000-square-foot building that has been closed since 2003. It would be purchased by ResulTech, a Frederick, Md., educational services firm, which would renovate the single-story building and lease it back to the district.
This means a big hole on Broadway is going to be filled in a relatively short period of time. It is also a good long-term reuse for the building and the land. 998 Broadway, one of the most historic addresses in Buffalo, lives again.
