I was in Gloucester, Virginia this weekend attending a Daffodil Festival. While walking around looking at the artist booths and admiring the hundreds of thousands of daffodils that filled Gloucester, inspiration did strike.
What about a tulip festival for the Broadway-Fillmore Area? Memorial Drive has a lot of city owned green space from Broadway to William. Let’s plant thousands of tulip bulbs this fall and hold a tulip festival in spring 2007 on Memorial Drive?
Sound crazy? Sure it does… But this is an idea that may be worth looking into…
