Welcome to Broadway-Fillmore Alive! Our mission is to work together with community
groups, businesses, residents, churches and other organizations to help
promote, preserve and revitalize the Broadway-Fillmore area.
The day starts off with a Polka Mass at 10:30am and then is followed by a delicious chicken dinner (12-4pm), including beverage and homemade dessert; hot dogs and hamburgers also available. Chinese Auction, raffles, games and more.
This is great event and helps support this beautiful treasure of a church!!!
Last night when I was watching a video of the bells of Saint Ann’s, inspiration struck and I decided to mix available audio on the bells from Saint John Kanty, Corpus Christi, Saint Stan’s and Saint Ann’s.
For those of us who grew up in the neighborhood, the density of churches located in Broadway-Fillmore brought the sounds of church bells ringing a lot.
Don’t know if the video captures that, but it was something cool that stuck with me about growing up B-F.
(By Judith Felski/SJK) Troop 107 has been part of Saint John Kanty Church for over 80 years.
Mr. Randy Siejak, Scoutmaster, will be recognized as 2011 Scoutmaster of the Year at the Volunteer Recognition Dinner of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts of America on Thursday, April 26 at the Millennium Hotel Buffalo. This is a special evening to thank adult scouts.
Congratulations to Randy and the Siejak family, who have been parishioners here for many years.
