So it begins!!!

The attached article is from 1991. It amazes me that some 21 years later that we are still having the type of conversations included in the article about making the Market a year round destination, etc.
The problem with the Market now and with each successive year is that it is suffering from the slow and steady decline we have seen throughout Buffalo. The Broadway Market in 2012 is in a lot worse shape than it was back in 1991. It makes me wonder when the decline will reach the point of no return.

The Broadway Market will kick off its Easter Season on Friday, April 8, 2011. The official ribbon cutting takes place at 1:00 p.m. Take photos with the Broadway Market Easter Bunny, who will arrive on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Enjoy live music while you shop the market. You can also find all of your traditional Easter favorites from over 60 vendors! This includes fresh hams, butter lambs, pierogi, sausage, fish, baked goods, wines and specialty crafts. The Broadway Market will be open extended hours during the Easter Season. This includes special Sunday hours on April 10, 2011 and April 17, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Log on to www.broadwaymarket.org for more details.
For additional information contact the Broadway Market at 893-0705. The market is located at 999 Broadway and is open everyday, except Sunday, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Parking is available in the parking ramp attached to the market.
