Corpus Christi Procession – Procesja Bożego Ciała – June23rd on the Streets of Historic Polonia

This year’s multi-parish Corpus Christi procession between two historic Polonia churches is on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

The half-mile procession will begin at 1:00 p.m. from in front of St. Stanislaus Church, proceeds to 4 outdoor altars, and conclude with Holy Mass at Corpus Christi Church. Bishop Richard Malone will take part in procession and Mass at Corpus Christi Church.

There will also be a reception at Corpus Christi’s social hall after Mass.

All Western New York’s faithful are welcomed to join in the procession and Mass. The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ is a feast established in the church in the 13th century. Polish Roman Catholics carried the tradition with them to America, where it continues to this day as a unique public display.
