The Common Roots Urban Farm was founded in 2012 in Buffalo’s Broadway Fillmore Neighborhood. Located at Peckham and Coit Streets, the farm is making its mark in the neighborhood. Four years after it was established, Common Roots will have a stand open on Saturdays during the summer months from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The farm also has Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). This program allows people to buy shares from Common Roots and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor this year.
Terra Dumas of the Common Roots Urban Farm was kind enough to spend some time recording a podcast interview with Broadway Fillmore Alive. You can listen to it online or download below. It’s a great interview giving insight into what the farm is doing in the neighborhood. Thanks, Terra!
