Filming a Parallel Universe

Filming parallel universes is a challenge – not only because no one is completely sure if they exist, but also because if they do exist they lie far beyond the reach of our most powerful telescopes or in a reality that is very close to ours but completely inaccessible. Even the latest HD cameras can’t catch one.
This is why we are here in Buffalo NY on a cold October morning. We’re shooting in Buffalo Central Terminal, a huge abandoned train station with an uncanny similarity to Grand Central in New York City. Deserted since 1979, the vast complex had been left to rot until a committee of locals and rail enthusiasts stepped in to try and save it. Some work has been done but the building is still spookily similar to the day the previous owners left.
We’ve come here to recreate a parallel universe. A universe our contributors, all internationally renowned physicists, promise is out there somewhere. A world where Grand Central Terminal has been abandoned and New York City evacuated.
