Buffalo was once known as “The City of Trees.” This weekend some Fillmore District residents are taking steps to live up to that reputation.
The Lombard Block club rolled up their sleeves to plant 90 trees near the Saint Adalbert Basilica. It’s part of Re-Tree Western New York’s reforestation efforts to replace the trees lost in the 2006 October Surprise Storm.
