The Market was on the short list of potential places for President Barack Obama to stop while he was in Buffalo last week. It didn’t happen, but the Market and its vendors were more than prepared.
So was I…
The feeling was electric at the Market…anticipation, excitement, nerves, etc.
I spent a good part of Thursday afternoon waiting at the Market along with a lot of other people. Something like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with arguably the most powerful people on the planet.
I even had what I would have said to him well prepared.
“Thank you Mr. President for coming to Buffalo. The Broadway Market is a big melting pot of what makes this country of ours great.”
He didn’t come, but it was a cool experience nonetheless.
