I shot this while mass was starting to let out Sunday at Saint Stan’s for the Poland Remembrance Mass…the church bell tolling just added to the solemnity of it all.
For anyone who grew up in the neighborhood or still resides, you get used to the sound of church bells especially with the number of churches in close proximity in B-F…but the bells are also a comforting sound….though you get used to them, sometimes the bells catch your ear and you listen….beautiful.
They always remind me of the book, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.
Thank you for posting. I remember the bells vividly. I used to lie awake in my bedroom and here them toll in summer. Great memories.
