While stopping by Mickie’s yesterday on a mission for Corpus Christi Church, I ran into a group of people leaving the building. I asked them if they had seen the person I was supposed to meet…they had no idea who I was talking about. They just left and that was that…well I thought that was that.
After the person I was meeting showed up, I told him there was a group here. He told me that they were there scouting out the Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle for a movie being shout in Buffalo.
Turns out I had just met local filmmaker Peter McGennis who was checking out Mickie’s for the upcoming film Queen City.
With a little more research, I found a found a story in the Buffalo News about the movie.

Hollywood actress Vivica A. Fox is set to arrive in Buffalo later this month to shoot scenes for a new movie by a local filmmaker.
And…
The crew will shoot future scenes at the Colored Musicians Club on Broadway, the Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle on Fillmore Avenue and other venues, McGennis said.
