The only Polish Sausage I like better than the offerings at the Broadway Market is the kielbasa I have a hand in making.

Yesterday, I got together with my family and we made about 70 lbs. of kielbasa.

I have been making my own sausage for years…a few years ago my family started getting together to revive a tradition of doing it on a much larger scale.

Three sausage making machines and about two hours of time to create some mean KIELBASA and create some memories.

It is just a great way to get together with my mom, aunt, brothers and cousins to prepare for Easter and reminisce about family…also a great way to teach the younger members of our clan about the past so they someday can pass it on to future generations of our family and of course learn how to make sausage.

Alive!

As for the Johnny Cash Polka cover in the video, that’s an inside joke.

  1. Chris,

Wonderful for you to share. We all have our stories and traditions. My father made sausage every Easter. It was a big event with our family and we continue it even after his death. Your family’s story, my family’s story are important to pass on to the next generation.

    Have a Happy Easter,

    Maria
