This is one of my favorite liturgical weekends at CC…I will be in church tonight and tomorrow from midnight until 2 am…stop in, say hi and say a prayer.

History:  This Feast, which dates to the 13th Century, celebrates the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper. Corpus Christi parish is also commemorating the 100th anniversary of the church’s dedication (dating to June13, 1909)

Organizers: Corpus Christi Church
St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church

Event Schedule:

1:15 p.m. The celebration will begin with Holy Mass at 1:15 p.m. Very Rev. Jozef Olczak, OSPPE, Provincial of the Pauline Order in the United States, will be the main celebrant.

2:30 p.m. (NEW) Immediately after Mass, unveiling of plaque proclaiming Corpus Christi as a site on the National Register of Historic Places, outside the center doors of the church.

3:00 p.m. Traditional outdoor Procession with the Blessed Sacrament. The Procession will begin at St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church, will stop at two outdoor altars created especially for this service, and conclude at Corpus Christi.

4:30 p.m. A chicken dinner, catered by Chef John Moroz, will be available after the Procession. Tickets are $7.00 For adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. Dinner reservations may be made by calling the rectory at 896-1050, or may be purchased at the door.

Leading up to the Solemnity of Corpus Christi is Forty Hours of Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, which will be held between 9:00 p.m. Friday June 12 and 1:00 p.m. Sunday June 14 in the main church. All are invited to sign up for an hour of adoration and to join in the Corpus Christi devotions.
