Bishop Grosz extends a warm invitation to all parishioners and friends of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr Parish to participate in a special Mass on Memorial Day to be held on Monday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the Resurrection Mausoleum of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr Cemetery.
People will join together in prayer to express their gratitude to the Lord for all of our deceased loved ones, who have served so faithfully in defending the freedoms we are so pleased to enjoy.
After the Mass, the veterans of Poland’s armed forces will gather at the Polish Veterans Plot at St. Stan’s Cemetery. Come by to say a prayer and to meet some
WWII veterans who served in battles like Monte Cassino, the Warsaw Uprising, at the Falaise Gap, etc.
It was great to be at the annual Memorial Day Mass at St. Stan’s Cemetery this past year. Since the passing of both of my parents, my family have made this an annual event to decorate the gravesites of my parents and family. It is always good to see some familiar people who I remember while growing up and being with at Buffalo Polonia activities.
