The Broadway Market was electric today…no other way to describe…the place was packed all day with shoppers…adding to the electricity was the presence of New York’s newest US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Downstate Congressman Steven Israel who used the Market as a backdrop to announce the City of Buffalo’s energy conservation improvement program.
The Market was chosen for the announcement because it recently had its lighting upgraded with an energy efficient system…you will notice the difference in lighting the moment you walk in.
Gillibrand and Israel are advocates for energy technology and conservation.
The Market is slated to receive other upgrades to its facilities in terms of energy efficiency.
