“Airborne Eddy” Dobosiewicz and Martin Biniasz of Forgotten Buffalo held a ‘A Polish Tavern Christmas Tour’ to benefit the Response to Love Center.

Almost a foot of new snow could not stop over 80 people from reviving the decades old tradition of polka Christmas caroling. On December 19, 2008, Forgotten Buffalo Tours partnered with 2008 Grammy Award Nominated Polka Band Jerry Darlak and the Touch for an evening of “polka caroling” at taverns in Cheektowaga and the Historic Polonia District near the Broadway Market.

Being Christmas eve, Sr. Johnice was busy getting everything ready for the Christmas Day Dinner expecting a few hundred people. When all of a sudden a knock at the door with the friendly faces of “Airborne Eddy,” his son Christian and Marty Biniasz all East Side heroes show up, with a check from the proceeds of the A Polish Tavern Christmas Tour. The tour had raised $500.00! In addition they heard of Sister Johnice’s drive for Blankets of Love, with bags full of warm blankets to add to the drive.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all that help support our Mission to the East Side of Buffalo.
