WKBW: Market tenants meet with city to discuss future

Buffalo city officials and tenants from the Broadway Market met behind closed doors at city hall Wednesday evening to discuss what’s going to happen to the market. Some store owners said after the meeting they felt like there’s hope for the market’s future. “There was a lot of reassurance I believe for the tenants… that it’s going to be a seamless flow… from current corporation to what may come,” the president of the Tenant’s Association said.

“I think we were reassured that the transition is going to be very smooth so I think we’ll all sleep a little better,” a tenant said.

This meeting comes after the management group running the shopping center recently announced it was leaving at the end of this month.
