The need of the month for September, 2008 is two fold:
First, we could use body care products, particularly deodorant and body lotions.
Second, we could use larger size diapers, particularly sizes 4, 5 and 6
And if you are so moved, we can always use cash donations of any amount. Times are tough, we all know it and we can all feel it. And they only appear to be getting tougher. This puts a strain on all of our budgets and as always, the poor are hit particularly hard. We are seeing our numbers increase greatly in our dining room and in the number of people coming to receive non perishable food items from our bi-weekly food giveaway.
We are also seeing more and more people coming to us seeking help in making ends meet in various ways. All of this coupled with the rising fuel and energy costs we are seeing at the Mission (for the Church, the school, the rectory, the convent and the over 25 homes the Mission owns and uses to house people) are really taking their toll on our funds. Any help you could provide would be so greatly appreciated.
