I received word earlier in the week that roof repairs have been started at the former Polish Union Hall on Fillmore, near the intersection of Broadway. As Chris wrote earlier, this building suffered a roof fire in May of 2006 and lost many of its original terra cotta tiles. It had only been covered by tarps since.

The good news/bad news scenario here is that they are replacing what appears to be half of the ENTIRE right side of the roof, right down to the rafters. There must have been a lot of water damage over the years. From what I understand, the Full Praise Gospel Church does not use the third floor.

A big BFA thank you goes out to whomever is funding this effort. Please let us know if we can help in any way. Hopefully, either Chris or I will be able to update you all with some photos of the construction very soon.
