Buffalo News: A Terminal Graduation

Terminal Grads

(By Jessica Vosgerchian – Buffalo News) At one end of the cavernous Central Terminal, marked by rows of shattered windows and exposed brick covered in graffiti, were candlelit tables and an array of party refreshments.

The former East Side train station, known for its dilapidated art deco architecture, is an unconventional location for a graduation party. But the setting was appropriate for Bernadette and Kimberly Majewski, mother and daughter volunteers for the Central Terminal Restoration Corp. who both graduated from Canisius College last week.

It shows that, for both Bernadette Majewski and the terminal, it is never too late for a new beginning.
