It looks like the Broadway Market has found a replacement for KeyBank. From what I gather, the new vendor will be a check cashing store.
To be quite honest, my first impression when I heard about this was you have to be kidding…color me underwhelmed and disappointed.
On one hand, I can understand the need to fill the void with a paying tenant as soon as possible…on the other, you have to wonder how much actual marketing was done of the space.
I don’t recall exactly when I heard of a check cashing store’s interest in B-F…rumor had it that they were eyeing up the old Payless on Broadway and Fillmore. That building has since seen the opening of Vibes.
I just zipped an email over to the Market to see if this is indeed the case…will let you know what they say.
