With the announcement by New York State of a $450,000 matching grant, the Preservation Fund now has attained $890,006 in cash and pledges. This is wonderful news and opens opportunities to seek other public and private dollars. The Friends of Corpus Christi must match the State grant dollar for dollar.Wehave two years to reach this total. Our recently completed Christmas mail out has already raised over $30,000 towards this ambitious goal. For 2008 we have set 25 work plans including five fundraising projects. And we are all volunteers!
