Binghamton, NY Winner of the 2008 Capital of the Pierogy Pocket title and recipient of $10,000 to be donated to CHOW — the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.
All is not lost though…runner up communities that made the final cut will receive $1000.00…this will help Corpus Christi!
In the end, Corpus Christi parish is a winner as well…being involved with this project, the Corpus Christi community came together in the span of about 10 days to put on one heck of a PIEROGI PARTY…to me, that is most important thing to come out of the event…it is what families do and Corpus Christi is one huge family of people…it also brought a lot of attention to our little neck of the woods in Buffalo…can’t beat that.
